PgcEdit

I'm having a bit of trouble with PgcEdit, even ImgTools classic for that matter. I have the latest versions of both, clean install and yet I get the error message "PgcEdit.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close".

The error in PgcEdit happens when I click the burn button and start making ISO files. I can leave the error box up and the ISO completes without problems, but it's really a pain. When I click to get more information on the error I get the following:

Attached is a text file of the technical info concerning this error.

Question is this: Could Norton Internet Security 2006 be the cause of this? I don't recall having this problem when I was running BitDefender and ZoneAlarm. And this doesn't happen on my other machine running Symantec Corporate Client. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Norton interfears with a lot of stuff, when ever I am using programs like that I dissable norton.

I do not know if that is the cause of your problem though.

Thanks PA. I went and uninstalled NIS2K6 and installed Bit Defender Pro again. I did a successful ISO using PgcEdit Burn, but I'll have to do a couple more just to make sure it's not a fluke. I've heard a lot of pros and cons concerning Norton products. One con is that it's a system resource hog!

I remember back in the early 90's you could get McAfee and VShield for a free download, and it actually worked. Now it seems a lot of companies make bloat-ware! Grrrrr @ Them!

I have Norton 2002 (never bothered to get updates since they use the same defs) and have no problems with PgcEdit. r0lZ will come along and have a look.

Thanks for the input Blu. Daemon Tools doesn't like my machine as well... and neither does ImgTools, though I'll give it another go with BitDefender just to see. Hopefully R0lz will be able to decipher the technical info attached.

For what it's worth, PgcEdit doesn't crash on me when I'm using the tool to kill playback, set jump-to-pgc and what not. It's only when it goes into the burn screen. I'm burning the images I made earlier today, and will continue to test as soon as this last image is done. 2.4x sucks! LOL
