Commentary on DVD Files

I backed up a DVD, and when I try to convert it to a video editing software, it plays with the commentary and I can't figure out how to get it off the file.

Does anyone know how to back up the files without the dvd commentary on them?

Hello and welcome to the forum,
DVD Shrink is great for re-authoring and there you can leave out the audio you do not want:
