No, this has nothing to do with that.
I don't use that, i just use the normal viewer.
somehow when it takes the screenshot for the thumbnail, it says frame zero.
and it just gets a black frame.

try it, just disable create chapter, menu, and subtitle and click apply to all.
and look at the snapshot.bmp. normally it is the last frame taken.

if, i do a single dvd, then the snapshot in the folder is the thumbnail, that i have selected. and it should be because that is the last snapshot taken.

@FA, Also check the chapter menu , i think it only take pictures from the first vob. (VTS_01_1.VOB) of every movie. and then stops. The chapter menu is then just blank.

the chapter menu messes up if you change the vob in the thumbnail to let says VTS_01_2.VOB, Chapter One, then becomes the first chapter that is located in the VTS_01_2.VOB.

One disaster at a time -- Weirdly enough -- It never failed here.
Makes it tough to track down problems secondhand

The problem seems to lie in the deeper windows routines -- Just have to avoid it in the codebase.

Over the years I've fixed so many MS Windows stupiditys in my machines -- I've lost track.

And the chapter menu here is also correct

Lets see if I can describe your chapter problem -- when you select another vob as thumb -- the chapter menu is screwed
I need a little more -- Are the number of thumbs created in chapter menu correct or not?
Is it the thumb image thats wrong?

the numbers are right.( i mean the chapter numbers, but the image displayed is wrong)
when it has 40 chapter and it creates 40.
Edit: and it also links to the right chapter too

the screenshot only shows one of the problems.

                  Hi, FA

Japanese strings are not displayed correctly on Preview just after going to 'Movie Selection Menu Creation' dialog.
After 'Font' button is clicked once, Japanese strings are displayed correctly on Preview.
                  Sorry for a small thing.

Pls send me your japanese menustrings file So I can see what I'm doing
                    And a font file

I was afraid of this -- If I switch
the text incoming from DVD_TEXT will probably screw up

Its the main reason I allowed bmps for buttons

Does the english text render and display properly on the created Menu when japanese menustrings are used?

I've been experienced similar thing from first. (but little different)
It can't be fixed by only clicking 'Font' button. This happens because setting of language of font always returns English from Japanese. It seems not to be memoried previous setting. So I re-set it to Japanese every time.

                      Regards.

Bear with me -- this is going to get complicated
Jinjin_jp -- Generally thats because the gui font is an english font throughout the app

I'm trying to trick the machine into rendering 2 fonts in the same device context.
Usually this is handled by creating a "japanese" ver of the app (with all internal strings altered)

Heres what I need -- Can you retype say DVDVOLUMENAME in TW's DVD_TEXT area in japanese.

And tinker in MakeMenu GUI (by whatever means) to a properly created menu using those strings at this point

2 What are the steps in (by whatever means)

JinJin_jp -- Do you have to set the Script in Font Selector every time

                          Hi, FA.

Eglish text is rendered with font face different from font face (Japanese) displayed in 'Dvd/Menu Style Options' unless I touch 'Font' button.

I understand why needed to set to Japanese every time.

Sorry if I misunderstand what you ask.

I usually use Japanese as DvdVolumeName and ThumnailText.

Japanese strings are displayed correctly if set language to Japanese.

                              Just uploaded 6_18
                              Lets see if this helps
Remember TW will not update/save registry until it has successfully created a menu
then it should load the font correctly on Make Menu start thereafter
(Preview should Hopefully will work right off the bat)

uploaded 6_18 remain the setting of language.

And I noticed one more improved.
                                In previous version,
*check off "Create Movie Chapter/Setup/Audio/Menus" and "Apply To All Movies".
                                *check on only Movie01.
*"Alter DVD Menu Color, Style Options" and change setting of font.
                                *"Return To Thumbnail View".
                                then disappear check of Movie01.
                                uploaded 6_18 don't disappear it.

                                very much as always.

                                Regards.
