I need some help from the DVD authoring experts

I made a DVD image of a put together home video, unfortunately with roxio (1st the iso is listed as a c2d file and not iso). Luckily this loaded ok into IMGBurn so I could burn the DVD. (I wish all dvd programs worked as well as LightningUK's). I couldn't load the iso (c2d) into shrink (even with renaming the file .iso--says invalid navigation structure), and I couldn't load the decrypter file rip of that burned dvd that I made with roxio into shrink either --same, (invalid navigation structure)---(fixed with FIXvts)--now loads into shrink ok. The original DVD has an "intro menu" which when finished playing jumps to the "title Menu", when finished playing jumps to the chapter menu, and if you select the 1st chapter menu, it "plays all the disk". The problem is that the intro menu accepts no command from the remote for either 'next' to jump to the title menu, or "play" to play the movie. The title menu will accept the "next key" to jump to the chapter menu, and when you select chapter 1, it 'plays all", and you can choose any chapter ok, and it jumps to that chapter. Now, I don't know if it was just a Roxio screwed up navigation structure to begin with or if FIXvts screwed up the nav structure but ----If possible--I would like to edit the "dvd menu-command structure" on the "intro menu". "title menu" and "chapter menu" where if you push "next" on the remote it moves to the next menu. Intro menu--->title menu--->chapter menu--->chapter 1. And if you push "Play" on the remote, from any menu, it will jump from any menu directly into the 1st chapter & play the movie. Is this possible?. I've just now started playing around with PGCedit, and I'm not even sure this is the program where I should be trying to edit the dvd nav sturcture. Here is the PGCedit nav structure of the movie.

What you ask is a bit complex. "Next" goes to the next chapter (or program depending on your player) and when finished, the cell commands and post commands and if none exist, the Next PGC (if that value is set).

In the Intro menu (title 2 - VTST 2,1), type a 1 in the Next PGCN field and OK.
In the 2 button title menu (VTSM 3,2), type a 2 in the Next PGCN field and OK.

Make sure all PUOps are set to 0 in these PGCs (or at least the Next PG (128) PUO is unchecked).

This will ensure that by pressing Next, you can go to the post commands and on to the next bit of the Nav. Note: VTSM 3,2 may need some authoring, as typically, the post commands will be authored to expect a button press, but give it a try.

You can also try popping a 3 in the Next PGCN box in VTSM 3,3. However, perhaps the easiest thing here is to actually select the button to play the movie.

As for getting Enter/Play to play the movie in all menus, this will not work unless the highlighted button is actually authored this way. You can author a new invisible button (say left arrow from button 1), with auto action to Jump to a new PGC (PGC 2) in VMGM (use the Menu → New Dummy PGC command to create this), which simply has (JumpTT) Jump to Title 1 as a precommand. This button would need to be authored in the Intro (VTST 2,1) (it would be the only button in this PGC and thus play/enter would work here) and Title (VTSM 3,2) menus with the command to (CallSS) Call the VMGM PGC 2, resume cell 1. As for authoring a new button in the Chapter menu, this is unnecessary as the enter button already plays the title 1.

thx for the response, Les. I'll give it a try. btw, the problem with Roxio was the intro. I just remade my DVD and dumped the intro altogether put the intro on The Title menu, and everything came out fine (except as always, I had run the DVD HD folder ripped by decrypter from the Roxio made DVD disk thru FixVTS, so it would import to shrink, and make a quality iso for storing on my HD) *&^^%$&&*(*( Your fix worked fine as after editing the intro menu with pgcedit, I could move on from the intro. One of these days I'm going to get a copy of some quality DVD movie making software and from what I've been reading on the boards, it'll probably be DVDRemakePro. thx, again.
