Hi everybody,
I'm making a backup copy of a DVD for my kids. I want my kids to hear the Norwegian soundtrack, but I want my wife to be read the English subtitles. I used CloneDVD to copy the DVD and included three audio streams, EN, NO and EN (DC), and four subtitle streams EN, NO, EN (DC) and NO (DC). I'm using Vista, and I have never used PgcEdit before today.
I want to
1. Make Norwegian the default audio.
2. Make the menus work.
3. Make English the default subtitle, and appear at startup.
I tried to follow http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...07&postcount=1 to do 1, and I managed to do it, but in an awkward way. I'm having trouble with 2, and I have not yet tried 3.
The picture shows what I have done.
I map the audio streams to 2, 1, 3 and the subtitle streams to 0,1,2,3
It was not too hard to make Norwegian the default audio, but it was hard to make it appear correctly in the player.
If I use Media Player Classic, I get the three options I want, NO is selected, and NO and EN (D) both work, but EN gives no sound!
However, if I use VLC, the menu gives three choices, NO, EN and blank. NO plays EN, EN is selected by default and plays NO and blank plays EN (D).
When it comes to subtitles, MPC displays the four choices EN, NO, EN (D) and NO (D). EN shows EN, NO shows nothing, EN (D) shows NO, NO (D) shows EN (D).
VLC does the same, except that it also shows a fifth blank track, which shows NO (D).
Can anybody please help me?
Thanks!
