Have you tried using Nero for burning?

Make sure you don't have Roxio on your HD (delete the program-causes conflict's with Nero).

I only use two program's (DVD Shrink and Nero).

Don't have nero, only DVD Decrypter.

Any chance you can replace Decrypter with Nero?

Not trying to slam decrypter-as it looks like a reliable program,but trying to see if it may cause a conflict with your system that Nero would not.

At this point it may be worth a shot-

My 440 came with a Nero CD Rom included, so maybe TDK "prefers" that Nero be used,and is more compatable?????

I think there are free trial version's of Nero available.

go to tdk wedsite downloaf flast upgrade firmware
flast it .. it will turn to 0404N firmware 1.0A

I have TDK burn, they are working great
mode 440 after upgrade firmware 0404N
