    What is the best media for DVD movies??

    Hi, New to this and would like to know what everyone else uses for there media?? I have a Sony DRU-700A burner so it can use all types. Is the + better or the - ???? I think i heard the - is better?? Thanks for your input.

    There are no "Qualitative" differences between the two -- only compatibility issues. However, (-R) is probably more universally compatible with "Most" standalone players -- especially the older ones.

      What is one of the better brands??? Verbatim i currently use. What does the majority use?

          Not just Ritek G04 (G05 if using 8x speed). They have to be Grade A as well. These are Ritek brands such as Ridisc (one I use), Ridata and Traxdata.

          There Aritia brand is Grade B and is not necessarily the same quality. They are not made by Ritek but are sourced to other manufacturers who use their dye.

              As long as it is decent media then it should be ok most of the time. I wouldn't even think of using 4x on discs such as those from Bulkpaq or Princo.

              Also, 4x may seem ok at first. I have seen discs deteriorate after a few months and make them unplayable. The same discs done at 2x where still ok.

                Thank's for your advice ,The make of media I am useing is Arita I supose only time will tell.
