I have to admit that my burner a NEC1300A is now equipt with original NEC firmware. But it has been flashed several times with hacked firmware.
My reader - a Lite-On 163 is flashed with regionfree hacked firmware. The speedlock that you have problems with don't exists on Lite-On readers.

Don't know how you flashed it. Best way is always in DOS from a bootable disc like when you flash your PCs BIOS.Comment

First of all - happy that your flash worked.
The speed is very much depending on the DVD you are ripping. So it's hard to tell. A ripping speed of 6,000 kb tells us atleast that your ripping lock is gone.Comment

Cool. 1 more question. I tried to reauthor a dvd so that it only had the main video on the disk but then it didnt work or get read right? What am I doing wrong?Comment

When I put it in the DVD player it did not read and play it. Just kept spinning.Comment

They worked good when I burned the entire disk though. It only happened when I tried to re-author it.Comment

The deep-analysis also makes the output size to really "fit" on your disc.Comment
