Hmm, i think i found a possible problem.....

SP2 was screwing **** up i thought, system got alittle sluggish so i uninstalled it, now i have No SP2 on there and as well as NO sp1... i have no service packs on here. Possible Software problem?

Anyway, yes XP professional, legit Copy

    xp2800+
    1GB mem
    plenty of hard drive space...

System requirements are beyond what is needed

that has nothing to do with it.... like i said i burnt over 650 movies already with this exact setup..... there's just a software glitch somewhere, and i think it's because i didn't have any service packs installed

...but anyway it's a NfORCE chipset..

        asus a7n8x deluxe

lol buddy why the hell would i need a new burner cause i burnt 650 movies? lol does Liteon have like a burning limit?

no.... anyway i have found the problem and it was a CPU TEMPERATURE problem

god damn CPU was running 68c on my medium volcano7+ setting..... it wasn't a software issue the entire time, i have now set the volcano to run on the highest setting and now cpu is running 43c..... and everything is running mint, just burnt about 8 movies so far we are back in business.

thank you everyone for your help
            i appreciate it.

glad to have this problem fixed and i hope this post or topic will help someone else in the future.

            thank you,
            Rob

i'm pretty new to backing up movies, but i've experience this problem before. try changing your power supply even if it works great out side of dvd shrink. that took care of my problem after losing about 50 dvdr's. hope this helps.

thanks for your input, but if you read a few posts up ... the problem was already solved... it was a cpu heat issue not a PSU problem,

                    thanks.
