Greetings All,
I'm fairly new to the field of DVD authoring / backing-up / burning so please excuse my ignorance if this is a silly question.
I bought a Pioneer DVR 109 and have mostly used DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter with much success. I kept getting a "cylcic redundency error" when backing up certain discs. I tired downloading a demo version of some DVD copying software. Well it didn't solve the problem - still got the "cyclic error".
I gave up backing up that DVD and tried (successfully) to do another using DVD Shrink and Decrypter. The new problem was that my burner only had average burn speeds of 1.3 or 1.4 x intead of 7.1x on 8x discs. Uninstalling the first offending software didn't resolve the issue nor did doing the same with Shrink and Decrypter. A total system restore to a few days earlier fixed everything.
So what did I do wrong? The problem software was DVD X Platinum from http://www.burnworld.com/software/dv...s/platinum.htm
Any help would be appreciated. Also are there any other software titles that one would recommend?
Thanks in advance!
