Hi and welcome to the forum, DKeith2011!

Using a new package of your discs?
    Disc Manufacturer: CMC MA - G. AE1
Not the best media out there to use. CMC Media has a history of instability. You could try to to change media or burn at a slower rate.

It is a new pack (Memorex DVD-R to be exact).

And maybe Im just being dense, but how do I lower the burn rate? I've looked and cant seem to find a way to reset it.

You could use this FAQ to see if the media code is the same as in the new package compared to your old discs. http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...threadid=48417

Burn rate - in the backup section - tab 'Burn settings'.

Tried changing the burn speed on the same media and got the same error.

Changed to a different media (happened to have one disk of an old pack left) at a lower speed and it worked fine.

Guess I'll be changing media from her on out.

          Thanks for the help.

Just as a side note: There is a later version of Nero - it's free to update and I couldn't find out what burner you have so I couldn't see if there was a newer firmware to install.

But it do work now - so it's your descision.

It appears to be an "I/O Magic" burner:

I don't think the I/O Magic website CLEARLY indicates that "G7M9" firmware is newer than the "G7Z9" firmware...

Your burner does not like these cheap and very nasty disks

Give them to the kids as Frisbees and buy good media. Read the golden rules of burning in my sig. Lower burn rate to 4x, especially with this rubbish. Also read Media quality in my sig.

                          "Illegal disc"

Your burner doesn't recognize this Optodisk (Disc Manufacturer: OPTODI - SCR004) media either.

If you don't want to perform the firmware update suggested by "cynthia", then:

"Changed to a different media (happened to have one disk of an old pack left) at a lower speed and it worked fine."

I'd suggest you simply purchase more of this same media...

You might want to consider that purchasing low quality (undoubtedly, inexpensive) media is not saving you money, if you can't burn them successfully.

That is the same media as the straggler that worked for one copy. Maybe that was just a lucky disk.

Im currently updating Nero (very slow DL) and will try the firmware update if it doesnt help.

If that doesnt work, guess I'll go hunting for better media.
