Hmm only dvd problem.... maybe the laser, some burners have 1 for cd and 1 for dvd...dvd one could be kaput

but nero shows the
TA-Status 0x02 (0x01, SCSI_TASTATUS_CHKCOND)
Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST)

Perhaps you've freed up some lint that was interfering with the DVD laser...

Gremlins probably or that lint...specially in my BB

Glad its working, keep trying to get that '05 firmware somewhere
