You could try disconnecting the DVD ROM and putting the burner on the secondary as master by itself and see what happens. Do you have 80 wire IDE ribbon cables (the connector to the mother board is usually blue and the master is black and the slave is grey)?

I should have mentioned the back side of the connectors are all black but the side that plugs in for MB, master and slave will be the colors I mentioned. At least on all the 80 wire IDE cables I have seen so far.

I checked again and i unplugged everything , I have a grey cabel with black plastic plug ins going to my MB and then the master has the grey cable with a grey plug going into into it and the slave has the grey cable with black plug, i unplugges all of them and see no coloring but the ones explained looked all around it and nothing, I have the audio cord as well coming out of the slave into the sound card, and my power source cables I looked up these IDE cables on new egg and definetly do not have anything like that in my pc

Do the IDE cables look like they have 80 wires or 40. Like I said I'm used to the colors on the ones I have.

You posted while I did Yes I would put the burner on the master position on the end connector and the rom as slave on the middle connector.

I dunno why the DMA is sticking in PIO mode. When you delete the channel and first reboot it still shows Transfer Mode DMA if available and a Current transfer mode of PIO ?

If it does not show Transfer Mode DMA if Available, select the arrow on the box and pick DMA if available if PIO Mode only shows there.
