OK - the ATAPI error **062900 in the first log means "Power on reset or bus device reset occurred". The unit was turned off? Actually, could be anything, from out-of-date firmware, DMA off, bad IDE cables, crappy media etc.
The second log is your normal garden variety "write error" **030c00, which could be a drive problem or lousy media or DMA issue.
In this case, I'd blame the Ritek G05's as usual. What a reputation these lot have. Try new media - Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim.
And while you're at it, try your next burn with DVD Decrypter.
It's a real good bet on the media on this one cynthia.
By the way, here's one of the best pages for burning problems - should be an FAQ all by itself (EDIT: Now done - see here). Just pick the 3 sets of numbers and find out what's going on and the suggested remedy.
One suggestion, if I may would be for running the nero info tool,
it's free and updated, if it doesn't properly identify the burner and
ide setups, something is wrong with the hardware configuration.
