      well lg's make a line of external burners that are the same as internal ones
      but use different firmwares, but evidently not your model

      Yours was put in case?

      I would take it out and flash in a desktop computer, does not have to be mounted just hooked as master to the secondary ide

        Hi Chewy,
        no, it was'nt put in a case.

        in system info I have found this:
        Name HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4167B USB Device

        and

        driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\cdrom.sys (5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158), 48,38 KB (49.536 Bytes), 04.08.2004 00:59)

        hm, seems like it not use the own driver?! It's because by USB ?

          looks like some others are doing it, not LG

          new firmware but still says for internal model and specifies that it be connected as master on secondary ide

          probably the one you already have 4167dl13

                @UncasMS

                Kommando zurück!!
                Der Erfolg trat nur ein, weil ich Dateien < 1 GB gebrannt hatte. Beim Brennversuch > 1 GB (2 GB) wieder das selbe Problem !!??

                  kleiner als 1gb PRO datei oder insgesamt?

                  ersteres wäre eher sehr selten anzutreffen

                  ++++

                  und du hast das laufwerk jetzt in einem desktop-pc betrieben, richtig?
