What Media To Use DVD-R or +R or DVD+R DL???

How do you get the quote to show up in the nice, neat little box guys? I am sure this is not a good place for this question, but I am here and it is easier this way. Sorry, but Thanks for any help.

The -R single layer are fine but also suffer from the same variable sector issue. I use +Rs and always have.

I always used to use Ritek R03 ex Taiwan even and they were fantastic. They had big troubles with the G05s though (-Rs) in terms of mfg quality.

I use Verbs +R exclusively now. Taiyos are too expensive here - I'd use them if they were half the price.

I guess I am hooked on the DVD-R due to the fact that my toshiba cant read the dvd+r discs.

Cant you buy them online at supermediastore? Or do they not ship to you?

Also I have only been a member for a few days but I have spent alot of time reading the forums and I have noticed that You are a Digital God. Just because a player will play DVD-R it doesn't mean DL-R will work.

I remember reading a review comparing DL+ with DL-. Out of 20 DVD players tested. The DL- discs only worked on two players. The DL+ DVD's worked on 18 of the 20 DVD players. Bitsetting will always be advantage.

Fully agree with nwg. Bitsetting (only for +R disks), together with +R is the same reflectivity range as a DVD-VIDEO. Players shouldn't know the difference.
