soup, the transfer test went crazy somewhere before the scan disk showed errors, you have pretty well shown the flaw in burning at 16x, if you had used cdspeed to burn the disk then we would have a graph that showed where the burn screwed up(speed wise) but just guessing, I would say it was past the 12x part. I can burn at 16x with my LG but the results are poor with my best media.

unfortunatly I only have the 1 liteon in this comp, I have a memorex in my other. I have 2 dvd roms my jlms will do scans and such, in this machine the toshiba isn't very hip to anything but a straight read, might be because it is old and tired, who knows? I was thinking of buying new burners and replacing the old dvd roms and keeping my existing burners.If you use these forums you will not have to face that...
