I bought these a while ago and am using them up. The CMC Mags I got cheaper than $7.95 for 50 with the $5 coupon and empty inkjets. I got 200 of them 16X and so far people love 'em, burning good at 12X

They changed the coupon on the site later to just CD that's whY I posted the one I had.

A 99 is a 99 no matter how you look at it. And they do make Verbs. Thers a post there about CMC getting better. I must be lucky so far.

I got about 200 of the MCC( I think) 16X verbs in the wings too . Firmware is gettin better all the time. Gonna break out the 160P6s drive soon

Personally my liteon doesn't like the cmc mags, but it may have been that last spindle, because i had burned several hundred with fair results.
Just look for MII on the imation discs if you want some of those moser baur discs @ your local Wally world. i had that bad spindle of Imation traded out with another and luckily I got the MII ones and I had pretty good sucess with those discs. If I found them at a great price I would buy them again.

Here's the ImgBurn log ans a quality scan of a disc I just did. I had set the speed to 12x but it barely went over 9. and good scan howerver. Anyone know why it did not get to speed?

use defrag to just look at/analyze that G drive?

I looked at it and it said it needed defragged, it's working on it now we'll try a burn when i get up tomorrow.

here are two scans,same media and data...one burned with nero,other with imgburn,why so different?which is better?
i saw some talks about burners not like some kind of media,how can i determine that for my nec?

two possibilities
1. nero burns better than imgburn
2. inconsistent dye spread on media

my test with better blanks proves 1 to be false(they both burn the same quality/LUK confirms)

you have to burn several different kinds in several burners and scan, more firmware dependent than
type of burner, don't expect the 4550 to be great with everything for a while

i thought quality differences between 1st class media are not that big....hm,gonna try with verbatims,im interested what will come out...
and what about burn speed - 6x, these are 8x media
