    help! illegal disc error???

I have been copying dvd's with dvd fab decrypter, dvd shrink and burning with nero. I had just copied a movie yesterday and everything went fine. When I opened a new pack of blank dvds(fuji) up i received a message saying illegal disk burn failed. I tried another pack of disks(fuji) and same problem. So I thought I had a bad set of dvds. I bought 4 new packs of Sony DVD-r that I usually use and I am still getting the message below.

The best advice is use ImgBurn, and use nero for the other types of burning you need to do. I have less coasters made with ImgBurn than nero, mainly because ImgBurn just burns and does not try to "think" about what it burning.
If you use these forums you will not have to face that...

This will be a very complicated fix, there's a lot wrong and if you want to use 16x -R media then it's going to get rather hairy.

The burner will have to crossflash over to a liteon 1633S then crossflash over to a 1653S for you to burn those mid's.

As 16x media replaces 8x on the shelves we will be seeing a lot more of this.

If you have been using 16x media all along then your burner may be dying, but as this media just started hitting the shelves the last few months?

I just posted over at cdfreaks and they said you should be able to directly flash to the new firmware

get winrar then unpack, boot into safe mode and update your firmware, if the burner is still good the illegal disk should disappear, there's a couple of other fixes also but let's do this one step at a time

This is Roxio's own evil driver, it causes conflicts all over the place on a PC...especially with Nero. I would suggest removing it via Roxio Zap

You also have a lot of drivers that create conflict....

                  File 'Drivers\InCDpass.SYS': Ver=4, 2, 16, 0, size=28672 bytes, created 7/16/2004 4:53:54 PM (InCD4 driver for win NT/2K/XP)
                  File 'Drivers\InCDrec.SYS': Ver=4, 2, 16, 0, size=7680 bytes, created 7/16/2004 4:57:12 PM (InCD4 driver for win NT/2K/XP)

CDRAL is Roxio, bad news....remove via Roxio Zap

InCD is Nero's own devil driver, I would also remove this one too via Nero Clean Tool

Thanks but I get the same error message as before. I should also like to note that I'm ripping a movie using DVDshrink, then running it through VobEdit then through Restream, finally through DVDAuthorGUI to add subtitles for it, normally I wouldn't have to run the file through Restream but I get an error if I don't.

So could this be the cause of my problem? Perhaps I should upgrade to Nero 7 which version of 7 would you suggest?
