Just purchase the Benq DW1655 to replace my DW1620, everything installed and working perfectly. My question is what's the best/most reliable blank DvD Lightscribe disc to use with this drive, 8x, 16x, Hp or Verbatim? want to give this new drive a full shake down. Thanks
Most people that have a 16x drive and burn fast are doing it at 12X instead of 16 because the diff in time is that much. I for one have been having success burning media that was marked on the spindle as 8X but my burner\fw says speeds of 6X, 8X, 12X and 16X are available. I have been burning them at 12 X as I stated and gotten good scans and playability in standalone DVD players and in the PC. I have seen scans of the Benq burners at 12X and 16X that looked good also.
I would very happy if I can have one burn like them
I would be pretty happy with a 99 or a hundred too ! But if my rips scan decent 90 or better and play in anything I play em in I'm happy.. like reaching for the stars and settling for the moon
I use the Verbatim DVD+R Lightscribe 8X usually, just bought 30 of the 16x but haven't got into the package yet to try them. Always have great luck with the Verbatim Lightscribe.
Use Verbatim DVD+R reg discs also.
