The problem occurs when I make a backup copy using my new DVD writer - LITE-ON DVDRW SHM-165P6S (MSOP - Latest firmware update) with DVD-R’s; I have no problems playing DVD-RW’s, that are burned with this unit. <o

If I use my older DVD writer LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW - 1673S (JS0D - Latest firmware update) to burn, my JVC player plays them (DVD-R’s) without any trouble.<o

DVD-R blank discs I use seem to be of reasonable quality from the literature I’ve read and include: <o

Is this just one of those problems that defies explanation with my new DVD writer?<o
