The last couple of movies I've made had to be put on a dvd-9, and when I get ready to burn the movie (using nero) it says the video contains pal, but will be converted to ntsc...It will get just about to the end of the movie (when watching it after it completes) and it freezes, like it didnt convert the PAL material... Anyone know what I can do to fix this problem? The last movie I tried to burn said the same thing about having PAL material, but this time it didnt even burn sucessfully. Any help is appreciated.

When it wants to convert(from PAL to NTSC or viceversa) just click NO.Most of the modern standalone players can play both PAL & NTSC. If u still wish to convert ,then do it BEFORE u come to Nero.Regarding conversion procedure, search this forum & u will find it.sigpic

The problem is with clicking the NO button. It acts like it's going to burn, but after a while it just gives me an error message. Not entirely sure exactly what that message said.. As far as the encoding part, why should this particular file be any different? I've made other ones just like this, and they worked fine. The only difference is that this one is small enough to be be put on a regular blank DVD, when the other files I've done had to be recorded onto a DVD-9. Any help is appreciated.Comment

I finally decided to use a dvd-9 to burn this project on, and low and behold, it worked. I'm glad I finally got it to work, but I still dont understand why it wouldn't work with a regular blank dvd, seeing as it was small enough to fit onto one.Comment

Okay I know I said it finished sucessfully, but I have another problem, and the same thing happened with the other movie I made under the same circumstances. It will play a little more than half of the movie then it starts to freeze really badly. Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening?Comment

Sounds like it is giving up at the layer break. Post your burning log please.

I didn't save the log, but I'm going to try to burn the project again using my other dvd burner. If it still doesn't work I'll post my log. Thanks alot!Comment

Exactly how do I post my log? It's too big of an attachment, and it has to many characters in it to post it.Comment

Read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning.
Update your Ner0 and firmware (you are literally years behind on this - see here). Do not use Ritek DL disks, they are inferior. You need only a SL disk for this project (2.4Gb written) anyway.
Code:[01:52:49] NeroVision Physical memory : 255MB (261424kB) [01:52:49] NeroVision Free physical memory: 16MB (17228kB) [01:52:49] NeroVision Memory in use : 93 %
Better still, burn with ImgBurn.
Thread transferred to Blank Media and Burning forum.
