I was searching the forums and thought this was a good place of any to post a Nero log. For some reason when I use verbatim DVD -R discs, nothing seems to work. I can use Verbatim DVD +R and Fuji DVD +R and no problems. Can the log file help me or do I just have a bad bunch of verbatim discs? I know the speed is a little high, but I have tried a slower speed as well.

the tu56 may have fixed that problem

boot into safe mode and update your firmware

you also have way too much stuff running

Chewy: Here is another log file at a slower speed on a different drive and the firmware is up to date (BWSE). When I used this drive, I couldn't select a different speed. It would only allow 4X and then terminated

Where do you see that I have to much stuff running and what good advice would you have for that.

Chewy: Here is another log file at a slower speed on a different drive and the firmware is up to date (BWSE). When I used this drive, I couldn't select a different speed. It would only allow 4X and then terminated

Where do you see that I have to much stuff running and what good advice would you have for that.

if you do the math you see you have 550MB in use and nero is using 82MB

windows might be using 300MB, missing MB's are the clue

want to fix that old memorex drive, relatively easy and safe
