    Simpsons Season 8 DVD Problem

I just got The Simpsons Season 8 DVD's and I want to make a back up of them. I decrypted the DVD's then used DVD Shrink with Nero to burn them. It all worked with no errors, but when I insert the burned DVD into my Sony DVD player it doesn't read the disc and says "CANNOT PLAY". When I put the same burnded DVD into my PC it works fine. There must be some type of new protection The Simpsons Season 8 has that's causing this. All previous seasons 1-7 work fine for me.

Has anyone come across this same problem? What should I try to fix it?

let's start with a nero burn log

                upgrade nero to this version

good you are 2 firmware revisions behind

download 113, boot into safe mode after extracting and upgrade

then after rebooting try a burn at 8x

and check out the dma on that one hard drive

That didn't work. I used the new version of nero burned at 8x, and used the new DVD Fab Decrypter but still same problem

no new firmware, that was critical

while you are at it go ahead and bitsett to dvd-rom

Turnes out the burns are working fine. I tried the disks in a non Sony DVD Player and it worked fine. It's my Sony DVP-NS715P player that isn't allowing it to read. Odd too because I've used the same discs as I did with the pervious Simpsons seasons (Verbatim DVD+R 16x) and those worked fine in my sony player. Must be some type of new protection for Season 8 on Sony DVD Players.

new protection shouldn't just bother some players and not others,
your sony may need a clean.

see if nero will bitsett those dvd+r's

                            try cdspeed under extra bittsetting
