    Very new to all this!!

I have just discovered DVDDec and DVDShrink both wonderful but some movies will Decrypt and Shrink but will not burn! These I have saved to my backup hard disk Some are already shrunk and one is not, as Shrink won't touch it.
Since dicovering Ripit4me I have had no problems but these saved files really bug me
Can I run these through FixVts and then burn them? If so, can someone tell me, step by step, how to do it please???

Here is a link on how to use RipIt4Me. LINK

If you use RI4M properly, FixVTS will have already been ran.

You would have to let us know what Dvd Shrink says when you open files & try to bring them in to the program.

The answer to your question is yes. If you do a search you will find some good links and review the threads. You may have some movies that will take some work. The best thing to do is rerun the movies thru Ripit4me, this is the best program I have found to insure a good rip.

        Hope this helps.

Slow typer tonight. Follow Soup's advice.

Thanks for the suggestions but being more or less computer illiterate its quite complicted for me.
As I said 4 of the movies have already been through Shrink and one has not, only through Decrypter as Shrink throws up an error screen. As I no longer have access to the originals and, therefore, no access to the error screen and I can't remember what it said what do I do with the copies I already have?
Having examined Ripit4me I can see no way of turning its attentions to movies stored on disk and, as most of them are already shrunk, does this not cause difficulties.
I'm sorry to appear to state the obvious but as I said before this is all very new to me and I don't even know where to look or where to start!

Just realized how to get error message!! It reads:-
'DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
            Invalid data in file 'J:\My Movies\(movie name)\VTS_01_1.VOB'

Bill - you need to download and install RipIt4Me and read the guide on the site or the animated tutorial at the top of this forum. Remember to run FixVTS.

Alsways post a log if you have errors.

              And read the FAQs.

Once again thanks for the prompt responses.
I already have RipIt4ME installed and have used it very successfully on movies since the ones saved on hard disc. Its only the saved files that I need to find a way to burn.
I ran the Decrypted only files through FixVTS and Shrink accepted and shrunk it but I get an incredibly complicated error message when I try to burn the copy. Its in the usual tiny window in the middle of the desktop and is not expandable to read the whole thing or to copy or print, the burn seems to fail just after writing the lead-in. I thought it was perhaps the disks I was using but Verbatim -R 16x seem to be one of the recommended makes so I don't think its that.
Can I run Shrunk disks through FixVTS??

If it's Dvd Decrypter or ImgBurn, Program Files / Dvd Decrypter or ImgBurn / Log. Just go advanced & post as an attachment.

                      If it's Nero: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=57213.

                            bad stuff for sure
                            were they made in china?

I would stick with the verbatims, especially considering the firmware for that rebranded dvd burner

                            aopen won't be supporting it?

Can you recommend a really good burner please?
