any burner that is made by the company that brands it, good firmware support, right now that's LG, NEC, LiteOn, Pioneer and Samsung.

give that aopen burner better disks, burn slow and when the dust settles
we might find it's a good burner and can be changed over(advanced technique/ crossflash) to the company and firmware which made it for
Aopen. Just because Aopen won't support it doesn't mean it necessarily a lemon.
