Thanks BR7
Just took delivery and installed my LiteOn burner. Upgraded the firmware and burned a perfect disc on Verbatim LiteScribe media. It's a great burner. Thanks BR7 for the recommendation.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm thinking about getting a second burner, and maybe the BenQ would be a good choiice.
By the way, the Verbatim LightScribe media works great with my LiteOn, but it is GAWDAFULL expensive!! There are many threads on the media issue, but I'd be curious as to what other (hopefully less expensive) media you've successfully used with your LiteOn.
Thanks.

You'll be hard pressed to find a 1650, that is why we were looking into the Liteon as a comparable drive.Comment

Go to Meritline.com I found some Verbatim Lightscribe for $9.95 after rebate for a 30 pack. I thought 33 cents a piece was a good deal.Husker Nation is Strong!

Thanks all. Just ordered some TY's and Verbatims - we'll see what seems to burn most reliably.
