I'm doing something wrong, although I can't figure out what it is. The site asks for the "EPV" (with the 'download' button to the right). What is the EPV??

Damn, I feel like an absolute idiot. You're right, of course.

            Thanks BR7

Just took delivery and installed my LiteOn burner. Upgraded the firmware and burned a perfect disc on Verbatim LiteScribe media. It's a great burner. Thanks BR7 for the recommendation.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm thinking about getting a second burner, and maybe the BenQ would be a good choiice.

By the way, the Verbatim LightScribe media works great with my LiteOn, but it is GAWDAFULL expensive!! There are many threads on the media issue, but I'd be curious as to what other (hopefully less expensive) media you've successfully used with your LiteOn.

                Thanks.

You'll be hard pressed to find a 1650, that is why we were looking into the Liteon as a comparable drive.

I think that you just sold another drive.

Now how about selling some media . Any recommendation?

Go to Meritline.com I found some Verbatim Lightscribe for $9.95 after rebate for a 30 pack. I thought 33 cents a piece was a good deal.

I usually use Taiyo Yuden's because they are the best out there and I always buy them here this way you wont end up getting fakes.Or I will use Verbatims I don't normally get the LS discs because of the price and I feel it wears out your drive faster I only use it for my family\ personal discs

                            I agree with BR7. That's usually where I shop for TY's.

Thanks all. Just ordered some TY's and Verbatims - we'll see what seems to burn most reliably.
