Ohhhhhhhhhhh when you say "see my sticky.." umm honesty I didn't know what you were talking about!! Only reason I "got it" you said "see jmet's sticky" so I am guess it MUST mean a post or posting or thread!!
Ok bro... YES I am greatful for you guidence, but use a FIRM but flexable hand when assisting me (I am still scared of you throwing rocks at me for not learning faster...
Where can I find "your sticky" and jmet's it is NOT in the signature.. I promise I will book mark them!!!
You again called IO Hotburn pro a crap program (since It's the only one I've ever use, it maybe indeed crap but I have NOTHING to compare it with)... I asked you :chewy , can you guide me to a new one that may be better"? What do you use for example?
    And again.. thanks dude

        thanks soup

a sticky is a thread at the top of a subforum that's too important to let slide off the bottom of the page

I still have a hard time finding stuff here, there's just too much to keep track of

even tho imgburn won't do everything, there are a few free programs that do
most everything else without interfering with other programs

I mostly use a full version of nero, it's expensive, but a fairly good version comes with retail drives, and it is bloatware, but some of that bloat is nice to have.

You can always reinstall the questionable programs later one at a time and
determine which ones are causing the problem.

I THINK so... but when a blind man works on something.. he hopes he can FEEL his way around.....
BTW.. you n chewy can lead me here... I was looking again You know I have the Sony dru700a and I downloaded the driver Chewy first instructed me to do so...SONY DVD RW DRU-700A CG5J (ATA)... LATER chewy told me to download ANOTHER driver he found that he said was a little newer that the CG5J and postponed at the time because I was getting 100% better burns.. today I was doing a good 95% burn and then ONE freakin` red spike shot it down to 60-something to the end of the burn... PIZZED! NOT acceptable to me anymore. Since I am More willing and able to make these adjustments with out too much fear of screwing up... PLEASE guide me and I am going to reflash that sucka with a NEWER driver and THIS time I even know HOW to get into safe mode and flash i from that!!!!!!! Whoo hoooo, yes I am learning but scared of change... but now I feel a little more confident in making these adjustments (thank you ratboy n soup, les and Photoangel.. chewy, UK and others...)

                  CHewy...
I was looking at the $2 version I bought of something called Nero OEM / Nero Digital. Is this the program you use for making CD's? The version is 6.6.0.17 I hit the upgrade buttons and this is like a 35 meg update (WOW!)
Anything SHORT of that maybe I can use... Since I don't use this program for DVD's just cd-dvd speed..
Any Idea what in-cd or nero mix are??
I USE to have a program for making CDs that faded on song on top of another... I burned Nine Inch Nails Petty Hate Machine and connected all the songs together with out the in-between silence it was prety cool.. can't find that program or the disk anymore since my last move... dang

turn them all off and when you reboot see what doesn't work

mostly junk running, but that's great, you don't have a scroll bar with 30-40 entries
