Does the "r/w" on a DVD dual layer disk mean the same thing as it does on a single layer DVD + r/w disk? -- That one can re-record on it?

Unless this is something completely new I don't think it is a Rewritable.
At least I have not hear of any rewritable DL disk.Important: Remember, if something is worth doing, its worth doing wrong until you learn to do it Right!

I didn't think there was such a thing as a re-writable dual layer disks either, but the Verbatim cakebox I just got today has the r/w symbol on them. I did a quick search on the internet but didn't turn up much. Same symbol as on my single layer +RW disks. Thanks.Comment

So you intrepret the meaning that the disk is simply suitable for DVD+RW drives? I guess I was under the impression that this symbol (and the font style) was created for recordable cds/dvds to stand for "re-writable."
