    I went and bought a disk cleaner and a new drive (cuz it was on a good sale and I was in "the big city" for the day). The cleaner made no difference BUT the new drive did.....ran thru with no problem at all.

    That computer is doing another DVD just to be sure so I can't re-do the InfoTools part. Thanks for your post cuz I see where I was going wrong. BUT now that I know if was the drive I guess I don't need to do that.

    Soooooooo does this mean the old drive is toast for some thing? It plays fine.

    Sure do thank you guys for all the help....I'm a slightly older gal who does pretty good....most of the time, lol.

      It sounds like the burning portion of the disc drive is toast but if it reads and plays the DVDs. I would leave it in and use it to play dvd or to load software.
