No Subtitles after burning DVD

Hi All,

I use AVI MUX to bind .srt subtitle files with .avi files. Everything looks great if I watch the subtitled avi file on my PC.

The problem is that if try to create a DVD with this new .avi files using Nero whenever I play the DVD on my DVD player the subtitles are gone. I got the same results if I use Roxio DVD creator.

Am I doing something wrong? Should I use a different program to bind my .srt files with my avi?

you have to add the subtitle file, it's not automatic

I turn off iso creation and burning and save to hard drive so I can check

In my one test with Dvd Flick, I did exactly what Chewy advises above & it worked like a charm. Dvd Flick.

what's bad is after burning the dvd or just checking with powerdvd from the hard drive, people can't figure out how to turn on the subtitle with powerdvd or their remote

I am not sure about what you mean by "add the subtitle file". When when I bind the avi and the srt file with AVI MUX I am able to see the subtitled avi on my PC.

So, do I still need to add the srt file when I burn the DVD? If so, how do I deal when I have several avi files that need subtitles ?

not sure what avi mux is really doing, since a lot of players play the srt anyway, concept seems obsolete

I was able to burn the DVD to HD with the subtitles. I just have one last question, is there a way to create like menus and submenus with DVD flick ?
