Hello everyone.
I am using Nero Vision 6, the express version. I am at work right now so I can not give the exact version. I can tell you the software is fully patched from Nero.com's website. I downloaded and installed the most recent patches last week.
Using our Sony digital camera, my wife and I have taken some family videos and would like to burn them on DVD. The files start out as a bunch of small mpeg's. Using Neros, create a movie software, these smaller videos are combined into larger file, say less then 10 - 20 megs each.
Then using Neros "make DVD - DVD video" option, the mpegs are added to the DVD. The encode and burn process goes through ok, with no errors. When we view the DVD on our TV, there are gray boxes all over the screen. These gray boxes look like huge pixels.
In another attempt, I exported the mpeg files to a MP4 file, and burned the DVD from that file. The gray boxes were still there.
When I view the DVD on my computer, the gray boxes are gone. Instead, the audio has an echo to it. It sounds like everyone is talking inside a cave.
The DVD's I using are Maxell brand.
System stats:
Windows 2000 fully patched
AMD 3200+ 64bit
1 gig patriot memory
2 hard drives - one 80 gig IDE and one 160 Hitachi Deskstar SATA 2.
The videos files are on one hard drive and during the merge process, they are saved to the second drive.
So far I have made about 6 coasters because of this problem.
Can someone PLEASE point me in a good direction?
