    I might even try a tuneup on mine, pull it apart, clean and relube the rails, clean the lens

    got it as a refurb when the 1640's weren't showing up in the states yet, came with G firmware
    30$ from newegg

      1620 is as good as 1640 except the scanning part, I would if I know 5% of what you know Chewy

          So if I use my 2 year old TY02 and my 4 year old 4160 I will get a perfect burn? Good to know
          I still say a perfect burn isn't actually possible, can't even produce a perfect disc,lol.

              the LG4163B will not report any PIF's at all since it's chipset doesn't support that
