Would you pay $100 for BenQ 1640?

I am not selling any, basically because I don't have any. I was talking to a friend today who might have a line on 1 or 2 of these, but as you can see, at a very high price. These are not used, factory sealed. So there you have it, are they that good?

I would Soup and I am not sell mine even 100, you know how I value my burners, you got one worth 300 ( which I bought for but never my Benq 1640 )

PS 1655 can only be half the price, All I have are Benq and that are all I know

@ NightTran, that Plex is still going while others have fell by the wayside.

@ Dan, didn't you know that I was on a quest for the Holy Grail, that perfect burn?

If any were still around, how much do you think they would cost? This perfect burn could get expensive, maybe I will have to settle for okay, NAH!

tyg01's disappeared from stock over a year ago and then they were just lost boxes that had been shoved to the back

the last I saw were value disks that some off the wall company was selling cheap as they were probably considered a clearance surplus obsolete product

I was late seeing the scans posted and missed them, night probably ordered them all and put them in his closet

Can't see a perfect burn happening unless it already occurred with the media & drive combo like Chewy mentioned.

I have come darn close with the Samsung and especially the NEC and both are still going strong. That's why I wouldn't pay much for the Holy Benq, lol.

When I came here last year for the first time I bought a new BenQ 1655 for $59.99 but,I've only used it 5-6 times and I can't get it working with my new rig.I more or less bought it because everyone is so high on them I never thought any of that burner media etc mattered so I was curious.I don't regret it it has already lasted longer than a night out and I can drop $60 at a bar or a Eagles game without even flinching.

benq 1655 is good only for good media verb and TY, 1640 can burn any thing from top to bottom of the list medias that is why I would pay 100 for it and stock them even I may not use it for may be three to four years down the road

I am holding on to my old benq 1620, I got it back from my son, it's in reserve.

I think I still have it, it had a TY disc stuck in it while I forgot the pin trick to take it out, one day I will put it back in and see if it still work
