just hit copy to clipboard and then paste into a reply

Remember all this is just semi-educated guess work, you might have a bad cable, a bad drive or anything causing these glitches, I just chose the most likely and easiest to fix first

the imapi and redbook are the only native filters to windows xp, everything else is suspect

sometimes the filters like sonics just get corrupt and like nero need to be uninstalled and can then be reinstalled later, I am not quite sure why people even want the sonic software tho

I agree with you...Sonic is a totally unnecessary piece of software...and I wonder why software vendors do not inform users when the installers tries to/actually modify system properties internally, like installing a new driver etc.

Thanks, I shall post the list after a while....

Now I have no idea from where did I get the Sonic driver!

BTW, I have three burners: NERO ver 8, ImgBurn and CDBurnerXP

            Update:

Removed PxHelp20 as well as GEARAspiWDM using ImgBurn, this made my IDE LITE ON drive come alive but the new ASUS one is still down. Windows still can not use it.
