    Hey,
Ok have u tried viewing the files after you've ripped them to ur hdd? thru powerdvd, windvd or even nero showtime? see if the playback is ok...

Maybe even try Shrink to rip it instead of decrypter?

Other than that a change of disk may help....

yes i have played them after they are ripped and they play fine, so my guess is the burn is'nt good, so would ritek be the next best brand to try then? would it matter if they are - or + ? thanks for the answers

Most home dvd players prefer dvd -r
        Try Ritek or Verbatim

Even try burning at a lower speed sometimes that helps....

        Goodluck Glad to help

For Ritek G-04 in the US u may wanna visit this site:

The price looks good for the same disks I have ever used here in the UK.

These are -R as per best compatibility with a wide range of standalone DVD players. (Thanks Davo81 for this heads up).

              Peace

                    Yes.

The deep purple dye (surface color) that Ritek uses is proven to be of highly compatible with standalone DVD players. The ones I showed on the original link burn at x4, personally I thik their the best thing since sliced bread.

The Ritek G-05 x8 support x8 burning (only if your drive supports it) as to the dye used and it's compatibility I would expect it but I cant swear by them because I never used them.

ok i was just curious if the printable surface made a difference, i dont care about printing covers the good ol sharpie works for me my vurner will do 8x but at this point i dont want to experiment, these things get spendy when you start tossin em
thanks for the info guys i appreciate it.

The printable surface makes no difference, but if you suddenly felt an uncontrolable urge of printing labels on the disk, these in particular work very, very well, with the Epson Stylus Photo R200, R300 (At the moment using R300)

I have used Ritek's that have a non printable surface and on some, labels had been applied to my dismay when I found out what a mistake that was.

But whatever floats your boat, if you like the bare look the decision is yours.

It was a pleasure to be of help (on behalf of everyone).

Sometimes I need help too, but my friends say I'm beyond help...

can any printer do the cds? i have a hp 932c, im not a real fan of the blank top cds wither so maybe the printable white tops will do and the price is nice around $50 for 100 where as verbatims here run $40 for 50. I just hope my problem has just been the blanks, this is my first dvd burner and ripping them but ive been doing dvd2svcd for a couple years now and ive been waiting a long time to get to this stage! now im working on replaceing all my 2 cd movies to dvd. Swear this stuff is addicting

                            aaahhh, no.

The cheapest printer I know that does print ont cd/dvd's is the Epson R200. This family of printers use a special tray to do a straight to dvd print.

                            See here just for info:

Epson America, Inc. Official Site. Product information, drivers, support, and online shopping for Epson products including inkjet printers, ink, paper, projectors, scanners, wearables, smart glasses, POS, robotics, and factory automation.

You can get better prices than that though.

                            later.

came across these tonight, for those that dont have one of those nice printers this is an alternative, from what i read they seem to be the same as all the ritek blanks...
