just wanted to update you on what happened, me and my friend took back the toshibas and ended up with pioneers since they happened to be on sale that day ($120 after rebates $60) their pioneer 107d's and we have both burned at least a dozen so far on 3 different kinds of media and all are flawless! wanted to thank you for all the help
