A great feature of ImageShack, its called "QuickLoad". It allows you to right click a image that is saved to your hard drive, and instantly upload it ImageShack. After it finishes, it will present you with the code to embed it inside a forum such as this one.
ImageShack QuickLoad makes sharing images as simple as the click of a mouse!
ImageShack QuickLoad integrates with Windows XP, 2000, or 2003 and allows you to upload images directly from your PC by right-clicking any image and selecting "ImageShack Quickload."
(Optional: Right-click on any image and select "ImageShack QuickLoad" --> "Login." Logging in will allow your images to upload directly into your ImageShack account.)

A free way to capture a screen from a DVD or other video format (Windows Media Player is known to replace the video with blackness) is Nero ShowTime (you can get a free trial at www.nero.com) and clicking on the little Camera button. By default, it copys it to the clipboard, so you can use Paint (I use PowerPoint a lot too) to save it as an image.
A tip on this is under Config - say "size of screen" rather than video size, because a full screen DVD is 720x480 which is not a 4:3 aspect ratio - so if you want it to be, use the window size because that is snapped to 4:3.
Hope this helps!CYA Later:

as for using nero showtime, i'd stick with 'media player classic' and use its 'save image' function. small, standalone, free, best player out there IMOComment

overlay mixer, vmr7 and vmr9 are video rendering methods, you can think of them as 'techniques' of displaying video on your pc.
overlay is fastest and most compatible. vmr-7 is the default in windows xp, but its slower and isn't so great IMO. vmr-9 is even slower (and some say buggier), but gives highest quality video.
vmr is better than overlay cause you can render 2 videos at the same, better de-interlacing, and other features like brightness/contrast/saturation control and alpha-blending (transperancy). not to mention they will allow you to use the 'printscreen' button in wmp
you'll need a more powerful (dx9) graphics card for vmr9...Last edited by anonymez; 6 Nov 2005, 11:26 AM.Comment

How would I go about selecting one of these methods? BTW, I have an nVidia GeForce MX 4000 64MB PCI video card.CYA Later:
