    Can't hear any sound.

    I can't hear any sound on some of my movies. Can someone help me? What codec do I need? And how do I install the codec?

      A few possibilities for the sound formats in your AVI files:
      1. MP3 (Most systems should have no problem with this)
      2. WMA (Install DivX 3.11a or get the codec via MS Windows Media Player)
      3. OGG (Install the Ogg Vorbis Directshow Filter)
      4. AC3 (Install the AC3 codec from a codec pack. Alternatively, install a software DVD player, such as WinDVD or PowerDVD)

          there are numerous postings like yours

          you'll have to find out, what codecs you're missing now and the install apropriate filterpacks.

          spend some time reading, what has been answered many times before.
