how can i convert the sound of a divx/wav file ??

    Hello...

I use FlaskMpeg to make divx files... I don't know why but the only working setting for the sound is PCM 48 KHz... When i try to use Mpeg3 or WMA or ... the resulting file has a noised sound.

So... I have a big file (2 Gb) with divx 5.02 video and PCM 48 KHz sound ... How can i do ? I used vdub but the compression gives a crap sound too !! Maybe should i replace my sound codecs ?? Wich setting is the best for the compression of sound ?

    Thanks

convert your wave audio stream to mp3 with any soundeditor or besweet.

having your avi (created by flask) and your mp3 all you have to do is multiplexing (i.e. combining) the two.

this should be done using NANDUB
for details, take a look at the muxing part of my guide:

btw: flask is NO GOOD CHOICE!

i definitely prefer gordianknot 026b using the latest divx 5.02 pro codec.

the tool might look a little confusing at first sight, BUT once you got the hang of it, you'll never want to miss it.
the quality is amazing, the reliabilty a league of its own, speed and possibility within the routine are very good imho (i guess all other users, who tried gk once will agree).

it is most definitely worth trying!

and be asured: you dont have to use/care about/let alone KNOW all the switches and options.

take a look at the entire guide, make sure to have the correct versions of tools/codecs mentioned installed and it will be child's play after some hours getting used to the routine!

PS : one more question : what are the settings who changes the final size of the avi file ?? (with divx 5.02) How can i accurately predict the final size ?
          Thks

it is the bitrate tab you will have to go for:
