    Up side down

    I up-dated my Win Media Player (7.01) and installed divx 5.02 as well as divx 3.11 alpha. (there are a host of other codex' loaded as well) The Media player plays AVI (MPEG layer 3) files Upside down? The Divx player plays them fine. Anyone have any ideas on how to get the Media Player to play them correctly?

    Try using the older WMplayer 6.4
    If the picture is flipped there ,you can try
    File->Properties
    Advanced->DivXG400->Properties

    and on the Force Verical tab choose Flip output

          what do you mean UNABLE????

          in case you were getting some *error* message from windows ignore them (the readme should state more)

            The file downloaded with an .exe extention but when you double click on it you get a menu asking what program you want to use to open the file. It doesn't auto load. If you right click the mouse the resultant menu does not give you the install option. Thats what I meant by unable to load it. I'm at a loss. I'm also not familiar with the PHP extension. What program would that be?

              did you not see the DOWNLOAD button?

              it should lead to a proper download of the file.

                As I said, I did download the files, both as a matter of fact. I was however expecting that there would be some sort of installation of the files other than just the download. I guess I was expecting that due to the .exe . If however, all you need to do is download the files for them to take effect then it isn't working. The player still plays the AVI's upside down.

                  1) If you have DivXG400 installed, uninstall or delete it
                  OR
                  2) Use the Sasami player. It includes the ability to flip the video "on the fly"
                  OR
                  3) Make the following change in the Windows registry:

                  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Scrunch\WMVid eo\Vertical Flip Packed YUV, and then set the DWORD value of this registry key to 1.

                      I have downloaded your files three times now and still a no-go. I may need to make some file association in the file open settings. What type of file is this "PHP" and do you have any ideas as to what file might be used to open it?

                        Sounds like you are right clicking the download buttom, and saving the openload.php script. You are supposed to left click on the download buttom to download the .exe file.

                        the .php file is a PHP script, it needs to be executed on the webserver to start the download of the exe file. This is what happens when you left click on the download buttom. Saving the php script on your computer is quite useless.

                          KHP-
                          If I right click on the download button the resulting dropdown gives me chioses of Reloading the page or bookmarking the page etc. etc.. If I left click on the page I get a menu giving me choises of "Open using an application" which then requires you to select an application within your files and of which I would not have the slightest idea of which to pick -or- "Save to disc" which I have done and which you have pointed out, is of no use. Could the problem be with the Netscape download manager or perhaps with the download accelerator standing in the way?????

                            No, if you left click and select save to disc, it will let you save the exe file. Which is of course what you want.

                            OK I have only tested this with Netscape version 4.7, 6.1, 7, Mozilla version 0.9.6 and MSIE 5.5

                            Which browser are you using ?

                              I have Netscape 7 and I have downloaded the file to disc. It does show as "Tsunamii_Filter_Pack_3_9_6.exe" but when you double click on the file nothing happens. Can you check some settings for me?
