How do i get one scene from a DVD

How do i take one individual scene from a DVD and make it so that I can put it into powerpoint?

Please provide specific instructions, as i am dumb when it comes to computers.

I m using TV card capituring, byr there is probably a program for that.....

im thinking you could either search through the vob files, or rip the entire dvd and cut it down to what you want.

TV Capture Card

If I use the TV card capture approach, will this work with ALL DVD players.

I am thinking that evenutally I want to put my home movies on to CD/DVD, so it would be better for me to get the capture card instead of buying a ripper program.

What are your views.

What are the prices of GOOD TV capture cards?
What is the price of a GOOD DVD ripper program?

I looked around, but I dont know what is good/bad.

how do you define SCENE?

a single screenshot or some seconds?

in case you want a screenshot: use your players options for taking screenshots

for some secs/mins of video, rip the movie just like you would in order to convert the whole title

then make your selection via DVD2AVI and convert only this very part
