Is a 4000 KBS way to high to capture a vhs video (animation).. I was thinking i could go down to 1500 KPS using a DIVX Codec. WHen I do a test it doesn't seem to change much as far as quality goes, and I can fit more to a cd!
I still get some frame droppage.. about 9 - 15 per 22 minutes of video.. I have tried everything and I can't get it to stop dropping frames all togther..
Also is it ok to mess with the smooth - crispness setting? I turned it down to about 75 it seems to make the aniamtion slightly smoother..
Just so you all know I am running a Penitum 4 2.4 GHZ 512k Ram.. 7200 RPM Harddrive.. Virtual Dub.. XP all the new updates.. etc..
Capturing at 640 x 480.. I know its high for vhs, but I'd like to keep it there..
Any help would be cool..
Thanks
