    Which Codec?

    How does one find out what codec to use on an avi? I have an .avi I can't play. I have divix 3,4,5 and Xvid. Is there a program that will tell me which codex to use?

      Checking the file information of each file in Virtualdub will do just that:
      1. Open the file in Virtualdub
      2. Go to File -> File Information
