Max dimension of .avi with Gordian Knot

I'm encoding a movie using Gordian Knot 0.26beta and I've choosen to obtain a divx of 2.1GB (3cd of 700MB each).
After the second pass it gives me some problem when muxing audio and append credits.
As the settings are all ok I've supposed that Gordian Knot can't create files .avi greater than 2GB.
Is this true? Is there a max dimension to create a divx5.02 file with Gordian Knot?
Please help me, I've encoded this movie 3 times yet, with the same problem....

creating a 3 cd backup using gk has never been a problem for me.

i must admit though, gk only creates the video file for me.
i extract and convert audio streams separately and finally mux video and audio later on using nandub (just like gk would).

click my upper anigif to see how i go about this transcoding process.

avi itself is limited to 2 gb on size, but a 3 cd backup has never crossed this barrier, unless video AND audio stream together do no get bigger than 2gb.
