Recording movies from PC

Please could someone tell me, if I am watching a movie that I have downloaded from KAZAA, playing it through Media Player and then using a PC to TV converter so I can watch it on my TV, can I then record the image that i am seeing on my TV using my recordable DVD player or VHS recorder?

with a tv-out option on your vga you can output the signal to your vcr/tv

You can create svcd's/vcd's and play the movies on yoru dvd player.
