what software can extract the ifo information?

Did any software that can read IFO file then convert the information to text file?

I browsed a lot of places, but didn't find any this kind of tools.

I hope that this tool can be control by command line.

    Thanks a lot

I have a project to automate the process on DVD extraction.

I need to create an interface to present how many chapters, angles, sound tracks that users can select in that DVD.

After user selection, I will call other programs(e.g. smartripper, DVD2AVI, etc..) to process the DVD.

If I don't know how many chapters, angles, sound tracks in the DVD, everytime, users need to specify those information which is tedious and not user-friendly.

So, I hope to grep information from IFO file

Yes, there are a lot of softwares (e.g. smartripper) that have ability to read IFO. But they are just for their internal use (can't output the information for me). Therefore, they didn't suit my purpose

why dont you ask LigthningUK, author of dvddecrypter.

he should definitely be the right person to speak to.

Smart Ripper usually write this info in the log file it creates.
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

I didn't try deeply on Smartripper. But everytime the log file is generate after the ripping process.

Since I don't need to rip, then the ripple time will be wasted.

But I am not sure whether smartripple can output the log without ripping.

smartripper creates this info file AFTER ripping all data and there should be a reason why tron chose this order.

i'm not sure any ripper will be able to but ask lightninguk, as i said before.
