Having A Nightmare With NERO Trying to Burn a Svcd....

I have been encoding for a long time now and had no trouble, I normally burn with nero and have version 5.5.7.2

I use Virtual Dub to remove avi audio compression then TMPGENC to encode to MPEG-2...

The encoding process I can handle fine but I have just spent the morning wasting 7 blank cd's trying to burn a SVCD.....

Nero keeps starting fine then erroring half way through, its so annoying....I have had "Could not perform Fixation" error or something and also another one which I fail to remember.

I have tried writing to image file also which works fine untill you burm the image. (then it fails)

I am writing in disc-at-once mode also...can't think of anything else to tell you but please help!!!!!

try VCDEasy for burning instead of nero5

Try a different brand of cd-r or perhpas your cdwriter is broken.

Try running a DVD/CD cleaning disk on your burner. Maxell makes one that sells for approximately $10 U.S.
