You could still make a dvd using TMPGenc, but the quality will worsen, not get better so for this low resolution movie you should stick with vcd-dvd and you will get the best results.

It should play on a dvd standalone if it supports vcd's at all, but to make sure just check here.
Did you know you can SEARCH the forum? Fixes common problems too:

        I have a samsung 611.

vcdhelp.com showed that my dvd player takes cd-r,cd-rw,dvd-r,dvd-rw.

        dvd-vcd (mpeg)
        dvd-svcd(mpeg2)
        vcd,svcd,cvd,xsvcd...

        is a dvd-vcd or svcd a .m2v or a .m1v files???
Because the thing is that I burned an m2v movie that was first an mpeg and it doesn`t play on my dvd player

How do I make a dvd-vcd,but you said that a dvd-svcd will be not as good.So how do I burn a dvd-vcd and will it work on my dvd player.

Is there a special way for me to burn a mpeg that will work on my dvd player????
